Auntie Frances needs a car!

Donation protected
Beloved community organizer Auntie Frances has been a mother to all motherless, hopeless, hungry people of North Oakland, South Berkeley for over 14 years with her program Self Help Hunger. She feeds over 1000 people monthly with hot food prepared from her kitchen, and through donations from over 20 organizations she's personally folded into the mix at Driver Plaza. Her tireless efforts have created a community unlike any other in this pocket park of North Oakland. In this place, anyone can get the support they need: from free produce, free clothes, free housing, legal aid. Auntie created this web of resources over decades of working along for the benefit of the community.
Today she is also in need of our help. Her old car, broken down, rusted and barely working, was stolen. Without that car, Auntie is unable to do anything. Her arthritis and chronic back pain do not allow her to walk or use public transportation.

She only needs a basic, working car for the many trips she does for her work: food banks, housing facilities, and donation centers.
Please help us provide this essential yet straightforward everyday asset for Auntie.
Thank you!
