Hello, 

As some of you may know, My name is Joseph Gornik and I am the younger brother of Maria Lord and brother-in-law to Maria's husband Rick Lord.  As you may or may not be aware, my sister, Maria Lord’s husband Rick was diagnosed with Rhabdomyosarcoma approximately two and a half years ago. Recently he has deteriorated rapidly and hospice care has been initiated. The estimated timeframe given is less than a month. My sister Maria has been using all her personal accrued time tending to Rick’s various appointments as well as by being his full time caregiver at home. This has put a strain on them financially. I’m setting up this crowd sharing account to offset some financial concerns so Maria can focus, solely, on her husband and her family.

 My stoic sister (who will probably be mad at me for even doing this) is still attempting to work through this difficult time but, at this point she needs to be home with her husband and three children during these last days. Cancer, even with health insurance, is expensive and has depleted their savings and her employee sick/vacation time.  For those that can and want to help, I have created this crowd sharing account for to donate to Maria and Rick's family. Any contribution is appreciative and welcomed.



Maria, Rick, Jackie, Ricky, and Grace appreciate everything that you have done for them. I personally appreciate every one of you for your thoughts, concerns, and empathy.
