Help for Zion

Hi everyone! My name’s Matt Kiser, and I’m creating this fundraiser on behalf of my friend, Nicholas Zollinger, as well as on the behalf of his wife, Mariita Zollinger, and their child, Zion. Zion was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia several years ago and has been courageously battling this devastating illness alongside his family for much of his short life. As one might (if but scarcely) imagine, this has taken an extremely heavy toll on his family from an emotional, physical, and financial standpoint. Although there is not much we can do to medically relieve Zion or his family’s suffering, or to heal him of his illness at this point, I believe we can significantly help alleviate the deep financial burdens that this has placed upon his family. Because of this, I have created this fundraiser in hopes that we, together and as a community, can help this beautiful family as they struggle through something that most will never—and should never— have to. That said, any and all donations are deeply appreciated. If you are unable to donate, I completely understand, and am grateful for even your willingness; however, please would ask that, if possible, you share this fundraiser/post with your friends and others in the event that someone you know might be in a position that allows them to. Truly, “the more we give, the more we receive.” I have personally been a beneficiary of Nick’s kindness; during a difficult time in my life, he showed me some of the most Christlike compassion and kindness I have ever been shown by another. Truly, this incredible man and human being, his wife, his children, and most of all, his little Zion, deserve that same Christlike compassion at this desperate time of their lives.
