On March 6th, Augustine Seaver's life changed with a diagnosis of Acute Myeloid Leukemia. This aggressive form of cancer caught him, his family, his teammates, and his community by complete surprise. Augustine had left his home in Tokyo, Japan in the fall of 2023 and began playing collegiate soccer at Southern Nazarene University. He has had a tremendous freshman year while his incredible personality brought warmth, competitiveness, and a smile to his new community.

Shortly after his diagnosis, he started immediate chemotherapy on Friday, March 8th. He is currently receiving excellent care at the University of Oklahoma's Children's Hospital. His competitive spirit has not left him as he battles this difficult disease.

While there are still many unknowns about Augustine's steps ahead, we know many rounds of chemotherapy and other treatments lie ahead. His community in Bethany and as far as Tokyo, has wrapped their arms around him while his family also spends every moment by his side during this difficult time. We ask that you help support the Seaver family as they do navigate this challenging time.

Contributions will go toward the many costs that come with this diagnosis, such as medical and caregiving bills, chemotherapy, travel & lodging expenses and any other unforeseen needs that arise. The hope is that Augustine will be able to be transported back to Japan to continue receiving care.
