Augie’s Taqueria - Fire Accident

Hello, everyone!

My name is Augie Velazquez, son of the owner of Augie’s Taqueria. Many of you know my father, Don Agustin, who happens to be one of the most selfless people on this planet. He migrated with my mother to pursue the American dream and started a Mexican restaurant named after my nick name. My parents have poured all of their blood, sweat, and tears to open and operate Augie’s Taqueria. This business has been part of our family for almost 15 years. Our family’s and employees’ livelihoods have depended on the business’s success.

On September 15th, tragedy struck when a fire started causing the whole interior, roof, and equipment to burn down. Unfortunately, nothing was able to be recovered. However, we thank God nobody was hurt.

We humbly and vulnerably ask everyone to assist us during this recovery to get our business back on its foundation. Even a prayer will go a long way.

We hope to open our doors very soon, so we may serve you the most authentic Mexican food in South Texas.
