Augie and I have been through a lot together. He’s my emotional support animal, and a retired therapy dog. He’s the most loving, sweet, gentle, and snuggly dog I’ve ever had. I rescued him at 3yrs old, and now almost nine years later, he needs to be rescued again. This time, my love isn’t enough. Augie has developed a very large tumor on the back of his back-right leg, and it’s heavy and keeps him from walking well. He still is very energetic and has a good number of years left in him, but this has a significant toll on his quality of life. We love each other, but I can’t afford to get him the surgery he needs. He’s helped so many people, including myself, through some very tough times. He helped me get through the loss of my mom. It’s hard to admit I can’t do this myself, but for Augie, I can push through the embarrassment of asking strangers for money if it means that he can get better. I hope you will help me help him.
