Audrey's Water Polo Training Trip

Hi, my name is Audrey! I am fundraising and working towards a once in a lifetime training experience for water polo. My water polo club will be going to Croatia in July 2024. I am thrilled to be able to participate.

I feel fortunate to have the support of my parents both in the water and out. I have committed to raising some of the funds necessary to cover the significant investment this trip will be. I am also working by babysitting, cleaning and waxing boats. Let me know if you have any odd jobs or need help and I'm up for anything!

A little bit about my journey in water polo. I have been playing water polo for a little less then two years. During those two years I have gone, with my team, to the Junior Olympics and as an individual athlete I have tried out for ODP, (Olympic Development Program) during ODP I have traveled to Texas and California. This September I am going to the first tryout for this years ODP. When I first joined water polo, I knew that this was the sport for me. It just clicked, the way the game worked, the way all the players knew what was going on. And I also loved how aggressive it was, there have been times where I come back from a polo tournament and I have a black eye ( I didn’t love that so much…) but I loved how there were ways to win that weren’t cheating the system, but they kind of were at the same time. The feeling of when you get a goal and then your team wins is one of the best feelings ever.
