On the 14th March 2023 our daughter Audrey was diagnosed with Usher Syndrome. This is a rare genetic condition that causes hearing and vision loss and in some cases affects balance.

Audrey has been deaf since birth and was aged 10 when she received her Usher Syndrome diagnosis.

In March 2024, on the one year anniversary of her diagnosis, we decided as a family to get Audrey to create a Visual Memories wish list. This is a list of places she would like to see, visit and experience before she becomes visually impaired. This list is entirely her thoughts and dreams, and it really is a beautiful list.

As a family we've already managed to tick off some wonderful visual memories from her list and we hope that eventually she'll get the chance to see them all!
