Dreams do come true!!!
This is the opportunity of a lifetime!
My journey started in 2016 my first race being a fun mud run.
In preparation for that I started running around Boulevard. I soon fell in love with running and the energy of racing.
In 2017 I participated in my first Xterra event. I had originally signed up for the short triathlon but changed to the duathlon as I was scared and not comfortable doing the swim. To my surprise I went home with a gold medal! I had fallen in love with Xterra racing.
In 2018 I was pregnant.
In 2019 I had worked up the courage to take on the short triathlon. The swim was still very intimidating but I pushed through.
Xterra had to take a few years of through Covid.
In 2023 it came back and I finally achieved my dream of completing a Full Triathlon!! Placing third in my category.
I did the Full Triathlon again in 2024.
In the winter of 2025 I fell and broke my ankle running. I was devastated as I was unsure if I'd be able to continue my racing journey. Thankfully I made a full recovery and returned to do the Full Triathlon again that summer, placing second in my category. I viewed the race as a celebration of my recovery.
Xterra Sleeping Giant is a qualifiing race for Xterra Worlds. My placing earned me an invitation to compete in New Mexico in 2026!!!
I am a single mom and as much as I wanted to accept this incredible opportunity I do not want it to take away from my children financially. So I am saving all of my tips from work, reaching out to businesses for sponsorship and my community.
This will help with registration, gear, travel and accommodation to get me and my bike there.
I am extremely grateful for the support, and dedicate this race to every woman who has struggled with confidence and is striving to build a beautiful life, while taking care of others and making her dreams come true!
