Last year, I was invited to a fund raiser, Audrey's Purple Dream, that assists and supports loved ones fighting cancer as well as their families. The event takes place on a frozen over lake in a very rural town in Northern Minnesota. We watched as participants "took the plunge" into the frozen lake in sub freezing temperature to raise money. And it was cold, really cold! I was so inspired after attending, I mentioned to my good friend and neighbor, Michelle Benda. I told her if she'd jump, I'd raise the money (I was kidding of course). She accepted the challenge without hesitation and said 'let's do it!". So on February 10th, we're making the trek back to Akley, Minnesota, Michelle is stripping down into her swimsuit and taking the plunge into the frigid waters for a great cause.
