Audrey needs our help with surgery and recovery

Hi, I'm Duncan, and I am raising funds for my partner Audrey Gammon. Audrey is undergoing an adrenalectomy to remove her adrenaline gland. Doctors have informed us that her gland is growing, but we won't know if it is cancerous until they operate on her next month. Audrey is the most loving and giving person I know, and right now, she needs all of us.

We are reaching out for your help because Audrey provides for our family of four and brings in a steady income. So between the time of the surgery, the post-op hospital stay, the two weeks to a month spent with her in bed in recovery, and the reduced work hours whenever she returns, we will struggle to survive and pay all of our bills.

My initial instinct is to scramble and try to find a part-time job or do door dash or something while she is laid up. But this is incorrect and problematic because she will need me to be here for her.

We also have two sons who need me here, and our youngest has clinically severe special needs that require my constant attention at home with him. So there's just no way she would or should be by herself during this difficult recovery and especially not be expected to take on that level of clinical responsibility for the duration.

We also have no other care plan for him or relatives in the state capable of watching him during this time, so we are not left with many options to explore. This leaves her without hope and worried about our future when she should be spending this time leading up to her surgery preparing physically, mentally and emotionally for having a piece of herself removed.

All I can find myself doing now is asking you to help her. I love her. Please help Audrey.
