Before I start, I want everyone to know that this is an unusual step for me, but here I am.

My name is Audrey Colvin, and my mom’s name is Donna Burchfield. We have both been named in a civil lawsuit and we have been going through this for almost 2 years, and it’s still not resolved.

We were told that our case will be going to trial sometime this year and that the fees would exceed $25000.00 due to the structure of the lawsuit.

The purpose of this Go Fund Me Account is to get help to cover these legal expenses including attorney fees, service fees, and the cost of our upcoming trial.

My mom, Donna had been on Social Security for over 10 years due to PTSD and other medical issues. Unfortunately, she lost this income due to personal reasons 4 months into the lawsuit. She and my dad have taken on some odd jobs, but she is still very limited to the work she can do outside the home.

I work a full-time job, but money is tight due to the increased cost of living. Other family members live in our home, but like many other people and families, we all have bills and sometimes the unexpected happens.

Our goal is to get our case in front of a judge so we can prove our innocence. This ordeal has not only taken a toll on our finances, but it has disrupted our lives in more ways than one.

We will be keeping reciepts on everything, and if there is any money left after paying the legal fees we are going to donate it to one of our local charities so it can help someone else.
