A Heartfelt Appeal to Communities Around the World for Stage 4 Deadliest Liomyosarcoma Cancer.
Assalamu Alaikum Warahmatullah,
With a heavy heart, I reach out to you today to share the heartbreaking journey of myself, Zafrin Ahmed. Just four months ago, I was diagnosed with Stage 4 cancer (Leiomyosarcoma) in India. The cancer has aggressively spread throughout my abdomen, and doctors have confirmed that there is no curative treatment left.
Me, a resident of Perth, Western Australia am not just fighting for my life—I am fighting to stay alive for my only son. As a single mother, my strength and courage have been beyond words. I have knocked on every possible doors, desperately searching for a chance at survival—not for myself alone, but to raise and protect my only child who has been through a lot during the past few years!
I first tried to have surgery in Perth, then in Melbourne, Australia but the doctors turned me away, fearing I may not survive the operation. Instead, I was referred to palliative care—to prepare for the inevitable Death. But I am not ready to give up. I want to live—not for myself, but for my child.
In final hope, I travelled to Mount Elizabeth Hospital in Singapore, where a possible treatment plan was discussed. However, the minimum cost for that treatment is around AUD $500,000, an amount far beyond my reach. With no other option, I have now gone to Bangladesh, where a high-risk surgery might still be possible and confirmed by the experienced team of specialists in Lab Aid Cancer Hospital. Even this path comes with a cost of around AUD $200,000, and I have no savings left. Due to my illness, I have lost my job and am completely dependent on support.
We are humbly and urgently appealing especially to our Bangladeshi community and all other Communities near and far, and to the broader multicultural community of this diverge and beautiful country, to come forward and help me in any way possible. Your kind contribution could be the reason a mother survives to raise my child. Your support could give a struggling son his mother for a few more years.
No amount is too small. Even a drop can fill the ocean.
Please keep me in your prayers, and if you're able, please consider helping us during this critical time.
May Allah reward your generosity manifold and grant me shifa.
Jazakum Allahu Khairan.
