Support Auburn Bay School

Did you know? New schools in Calgary do not come with playgrounds.  Crazy, right?  Auburn Bay School will open its doors to over 500 children in September 2016, but there will not be a playground until we raise the funds to build one.  A school without a playground is hard to imagine!

How much? A typical playground for a school the size of Auburn Bay School will cost around $250,000.  Some grants are available to help, but a large amount of money must be raised and in the bank.

Who's involved? A group of parents has come together to form The Auburn Bay K-4 Fundraising Association, a registered fundraising society under the Government of Alberta’s Societies Act.  While the initial work has been done, we need help from our Auburn Bay community, and beyond!

When? We're aiming to raise enough money to apply for a provincial dollar-matching grant in September 2016.  In order to maximize the amount we can apply for, we need to have $75,000 in the bank.  With a contractor already in place for the playground, we hope to have an installation date in Auburn Bay School’s opening year!
