Help Auburn Stay in the UK!

Hi!! It’s me, Auburn!

I’ll be graduating from my Master’s in International Relations at LSE this Fall. After working as an intern in The United Kingdom Parliament in the House of Lords for 6 months, learning so much about the world from my colleagues - other international students, and falling for London and it’s vibrant, quick-paced life and politics, I have decided the best thing to start my career in International Relations will be to stay in the UK.

However, after only being able to work 20hrs / month on my student visa, and not being payed for my Parliamentary internship, I am struggling to make ends meet here in London. My best friend Liz graciously gifted me with a new pair of shoes (the last pair made my feet bleed), socks, towels, and sheets - which was incredibly kind and speaks to my need. However, I still sometimes skip meals and struggle to pay my transportation expenses. Luckily, though, if I get this new visa, I can work full time, in a proper (hopefully well-paid!) job in the UK for two years! However, it’s cost is enormous, £1,385 with biometrics. I can’t pay it by myself, but I know this is the best move for beginning my career in International Relations. To preemptively celebrate my graduation and Christmas (Since I’m also financially unable to go back to the US for the holidays), I would like to request that my family and friends help me pay for this expense. I hate it will keep me from you all for longer, but hopefully one day I can pay back the favour - and do some good for the world in my career you all have helped make possible!
