This fall, I’ll be opening a new coffee shop and bakery, Aubrey’s on Central, and I couldn’t be more excited to welcome everyone into this next chapter of my life. As I prepare to bring this dream to life, there are still a number of big expenses involved in building a space that feels warm, welcoming, and ready to serve our community. Funds raised through this GoFundMe will go directly toward essential equipment and improvements for the new shop, including a dual walk-in cooler/freezer, ovens, pastry cases, sinks, dishwashers, 20qt mixers, refrigerators, tables and chairs, and so many other items needed to get the doors open.
Over the past few months, so many of you have reached out asking how you could support this journey and encouraging me to create a fundraiser. Asking for help has never come naturally to me, but I've learned that allowing people to be part of something they believe in can be a gift, too. How cool would it be to give people the opportunity to say “I helped open that small business!”? It is heartwarming to know just how many people believe in me and my dreams.
Baking and serving others has always been about so much more than coffee and pastries. My hope is to create a place where people feel known and welcomed, a place where we remember your order, greet you by name, celebrate life's milestones with you, and provide a little comfort in the midst of your busy lives. A place that truly feels like home.
No matter what, this coffee shop and bakery will open. Hear that loud and clear. This fundraiser is strictly to give my lovely followers the option to help if they wish to. There is absolutely no pressure. I have always been a determined girlie and trust me when I tell you I will do everything necessary to open those doors. Every donation, no matter the amount, simply helps me get there a little faster and allows me to create the best possible space for the community we love so much.
