For a parent, your worst nightmare is finding out that your child is seriously ill. You’ve loved and cared for this baby and done everything right to keep them safe from harm; when for whatever reason, life throws you a curveball and you’re told by a doctor that your child has cancer. You are scared, you are heartbroken and you’d do anything in your power to make sure your child gets well. That is the reality David and Jade are faced with right now as they get ready to be strong for their two-year-old son, Aubrey.
Aubrey has been sick and the doctors believed it was an ear infection. After being treated numerous times without getting any better, David and Jade were told that Aubrey had a granuloma in his ear. However, when the scan was completed, a more serious situation was discovered and a biopsy was performed to see what type of cancer Aubrey has. When the tests results came back, David and Jade were told it was Rhabdomyosarcoma, which is a childhood cancer that develops from connective tissue in the body. A treatment plan was discussed which includes chemotherapy and a lot of time away from home while Aubrey fights to get better.
Jade is a stay-at-home mother and David had to leave his job to help be there for his family and so either he or Jade could be with Aubrey every step of the way. While this is the right decision for the situation they are facing, financially it is a hardship. When faced with such a serious illness, no one should have to worry about how they are going to afford the constant back and forth to the hospital and all the other expenses that come with a sick child and a growing family.
You might not know Aubrey but know this, he is a typical boy who wants to be at home so he can play with his twin brother, Jamie and his older sister, Peyton. He is loved beyond measure and deserves every good thing life has to offer. His family deserves your support and most definitely, they ask for your prayers.
Please help David and Jade as they prepare for a hard fight and a battle that Aubrey will win! Every little bit helps and can help take the burden off a family that needs to focus on bringing their son home, healthy and happy.
Thank you in advance for all of your support!
