Aubrey & Jon Recover from Apartment Fire

I heard someone banging on my door, waking me up. Thirty minutes later, I watched as the roof of my apartment collapsed, fire still burning. I had nothing but my purse and phone. It was my boyfriend's and my first apartment - we had made our first 'adult' purchase of a new couch just a week ago. Now we have nothing but the clothes on our backs, our cars, and our jobs.

We're thankful for what little we do have. I'm incredibly grateful Jon was at work, and he's thankful that my neighbor didn't give up knocking until I was out safe.

But for now, we need the basics to replace what was lost - clothes for work and school, hygiene items, food, and whatever else we need to help us resettle.
