It is with broken hearts that we announce the sudden and unexpected passing of Aubree Harris, who left us peacefully on Sunday, May 31, 2026, surrounded by her loving family. On Saturday evening, Aubree suffered a heart attack at her home and was life-flighted to Lewiston, Idaho, where she spent her final hours surrounded by her family.
Aubree was a devoted wife, mother, daughter, sister, aunt, and a treasured friend to everyone who had the privilege of knowing her. Her world completely revolved around her family. While she was a highly sought-after and talented hairdresser, she chose to leave her career behind to devote 100% of her time, energy, and boundless love to her family. She and her husband, Derek, were blessed to expand their family through the adoption of their son, Keaton, 16, and were later blessed with two miracle children, Aspen, 13 and Brad, 11. As a mother, she was unparalleled, pouring every ounce of her heart into her children's lives.
A woman of profound faith, and life long member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter day Saints, Aubree held a firm belief in her Savior, Jesus Christ. Her daily life was a living testament to this devotion. Aubree exemplified Christlike love and attributes; she was a peacemaker, kind, thoughtful, and gentle. She possessed the brightest smile, the warmest heart, and a thoughtful nature that made everyone feel seen and valued. Her world revolved around her family. She loved her parents, siblings, and especially her husband Derek, and children.
As the family navigates this unimaginable loss, we are setting up this fund to help Derek and the children with immediate and future expenses. The funds raised will go directly toward:
- Medical and funeral expenses incurred by the family.
- Daily living expenses as the family transitions to life without mom.
Any contribution, no matter how small, will make a massive difference and ease the financial burden on the family during this grieving process. If you are unable to donate, we completely understand and simply ask that you keep the family in your thoughts and prayers.
If you prefer, donations may be made directly to Derek at Venmo ID @harriscoug
Thank you so much for your love, support, and generosity during this difficult time.
Gillian Bowman, Derek's first cousin, manages this fund in coordination with Derek and the Harris family. All funds will be distributed directly to Derek.
