Aubree fights cancer and health insurance

Everyone that knows Aubree, knows what an incredible person she is. She’s strong, beautiful, hilarious and so much fun! She has proven multiple times that she would do anything for her family, friends, and even someone she doesn’t know.
On July 6th, Aubree was diagnosed with Invasive Ductal Carcinoma. Unfortunately, that requires her to have a double mastectomy. Her surgery is today, August 21st. She found out last Friday, at noon, (less than 1 business day away from her surgery) that her insurance has put her in “medical review.” They told her she would need to pay out of pocket (around $40,000) or her surgery would be canceled. Luckily, we were able to get in touch with her doctors and the director of the hospital and they accepted a down payment in order to proceed as planned.
We can’t imagine what she is going through right now, and in the weeks to come. She won’t be able to lift anything or raise her arms. Someone will need to be with her when she is with Kolt and Zane. She will also need help with things like cooking, laundry and other household chores. We are hoping to alleviate some of her stress so she can focus on recovery.
