Brain Camp for High School Students
The Auburn University Brain Imaging Visiting Fellowship ('AU Brain Camp') began in 2014 through the vision of Dr. Jennifer Robinson and Dr. Jeffrey Katz from the Department of Psychology at Auburn University, and Ms. Kathy Dodgen from Auburn High School. AU Brain Camp is a free camp for high school students who are interested in learning more about the brain and neuroscience. Students engage in hands-on demonstrations, have engaging discussions, and have the opportunity to have their own brain scanned. The camp is held annually in the summer.
So why are we requesting money?
This is a completely not-for-profit camp. All proceeds will be used to buy materials for the camp - specifically, we are trying to raise funds to purchase iPads (and associated applications) which will allow us to host virtual neuroanatomy labs, and allow each participant to use the iPads for the duration of the camp. These iPads will remain a part of the camp for years to come.
Any contribution would be greatly appreciated. $1, $10, any amount will help us get closer to our goal.
