On April 16th of this year, my beautiful niece/goddaughter and her husband were told their darling 4-year-old had a large mass on her kidney and it needed to be removed. That Friday, our spunky and brave little Stephanie was wheeled into surgery chanting her affirmations "I'm strong, I'm Brave, I can do this!". The surgery was a success and now Stephanie, Marisa, and Joe are navigating this new life of Stephanie living with 1 kidney and at the same time undergoing weekly chemo treatments.

Marisa and Joe are both exceptional Special Education Classrrom Assistants (SECA) who have dedicated their lives to supporting students who benefit from extra support. Joe is also attending school to achieve his teaching degree.

While they navigate Stephanie's treatments and her reactions to the chemo, Marisa has had to take a leave of absence from her position.

The money being raised will go to helping support them as Marisa takes the time to take care of Stephanie and any other unexpected costs that may come their way.
