Ryder Strong!

Firstly, On behalf of the Randle and Rice family we cannot express our heart felt gratitude for your love, thoughts, and prayers during such a devastating time. It is without question that your prayers have been felt and heard so thank you, truly. My name is Brooke Randle and I am the Aunt of Ryder Randle (5yrs old), the sister of Matthew Randle (Dad) and Maegan (Mom). There are no words to adequately describe the unbearable pain, shock, and devastation when you hear the word cancer when it comes to your family—Especially your child. To make a long story short, Ryder has been experiencing a month of leg pain and doctor appointments. It has been concluded a few short days ago that Ryder has brain and spinal cancer. There have been two tumors located on his brain & one on his spine.

 

He has been in such great care at Wolfson’s Children Hospital and we are so thankful for their true determination.

 

They recently did three operative procedures in hopes to relieve Ryder and give us clarity of what specific cancer we are battling against. The first procedure they did was a spinal tap to rid him of the fluid pressure that has built up in his brain. This fluid has been causing him massive headaches, moments of complete vision loss, and debilitating leg pain. Secondly, they placed a shunt in his brain that goes down into his abdomen for build up prevention. The third procedure they operated on was his spine to remove as much of the tumor as they could. During this procedure they had to remove a part of his spine. We were in high hopes that they would be able to remove enough of the tumor to view it under microscope. Unfortunately, they were not. They have sent the specimens to a laboratory and we are in confident hope of clarity.

 

As we all know, medical expenses mount up in these particular circumstances. My brother and sister are in financial need with medical expenses. Your contributions will help my brother reach his out of pocket cost for these operations and essential needs as they care for Ryder.
