Big ideas can come from anywhere — but not everyone gets the chance to bring them to life. At SIMcubator Bangladesh, we believe in the power of local innovation to fight poverty and create lasting change. We are an impact initiative of students from the Master in Strategy and International Management (SIM) at the University of St. Gallen and aim to empower local founders in Dhaka to turn their ideas into real businesses that create jobs, reduce poverty, and strengthen communities.
Each year, we support 10–15 early-stage startups through:
- A hands-on bootcamp on business, leadership, and impact.
- Personalized mentorship from local and international experts.
- A final pitch event, where three winning teams receive staged funding to grow their ventures.
Our mission: to enable entrepreneurship as a tool for sustainable development — driving progress toward SDG 1 (No Poverty), SDG 8 (Decent Work), and SDG 9 (Innovation & Infrastructure).
