Hi, my name is Gracie, and I’m raising funds to help care for my brother, Zachary.

Zachary was involved in a serious car accident about four months ago while traveling to his girlfriend’s house. The crash was near-fatal, and he was rushed to the trauma ICU, where he remained in a medically induced coma for six weeks. In total, Zachary was hospitalized for 90 days.

Thankfully, Zachary is awake now and beginning his long road to recovery. While we are incredibly grateful he survived, this journey has not been — and will not be — a quick or easy one.

Before the accident, Zachary was covered under my dad’s insurance. That coverage has since ended, and we are currently waiting for Medicaid to be approved and take effect, leaving our family in a difficult and uncertain position. Since the accident, both of our parents have been unable to work. My dad is needed at home full-time, as Zachary is twice my mom’s size and she cannot safely care for him on her own at this point. We are hopeful that, with time, his care needs will become easier to manage.

At this time, we do not have a specific total in mind. Any amount donated would help our family tremendously as we work to cover transportation costs, ongoing medical needs, and essential items that can make Zachary’s recovery more manageable.
