Please Help Raise Money for Attila’s Medical Bills, Lost Income, and Leg Prosthesis After Suffering Rare Aneurysm

Attila Kiss, a 63 year-old hard-working entrepreneur, immigrant from Budapest, Hungary, and former body builder in his younger days, has suffered an extremely rare aneurysm that has changed his life forever. On January 31, 2024, Attila was diagnosed with a popliteal artery aneurysm behind his right knee (a rare artery deformity) that only affects 7 out of 100,000 people in the world. He underwent a 12-hour emergency surgery at Stony Brook University Hospital, which was unsuccessful, and resulted in a second emergency surgery requiring his right lower leg to be amputated due to kidney dysfunction. He will also require a third amputation surgery in the coming weeks to finish his treatment. He is now burdened with crippling medical debt and requires extensive rehabilitation, a stair lift in his home, and a prosthetic leg (artificial/fake leg), which is very expensive. Attila’s landscaping business is his only source of income, and he is now unable to physically work on the job as a landscaper.

Attila immigrated to the United States from Hungary over 30 years ago to create a better life for his family. He, through extensive and dedicated hard work, established his own landscaping business, Attila’s Services, in Ronkonkoma, N.Y. He is the husband of Izabella, and a grandfather to two baby boys. He has also raised two incredible, hard-working sons, Tamas who works for the State of New York and has two baby boys, and Zoltan who was a former U.S. Navy medic, a current paramedic, volunteer firefighter, Chief of the Ronkonkoma Fire Department, and a current PA Student at Yale University. As you can see, his entire family gives back to the community and is very hard-working.

Attila is a proud man and has never received a handout in his life. His family is asking for the community’s support to help him live a comfortable and new life post-surgery.
