Help Save My Sweet Boy - Poisoned by FDA-Warned Rx Cream
Donation protected
Olaf’s fighting & stabilizing, but not there yet. We’re asking for $5,000 ASAP to keep his IV going.
Final goal: $10,000 for meds, tests, and 1–3 weeks of recovery at home.

Meet Olaf:
No box not inspected

No bed made in peace lol

No spot not stolen

No skippety's not papped

Thas just my babeh(cat)

Olaf isn’t just a cat. He's my very dramatic, highly opinionated ESA (but really, I support him). He also goes by Bubs, Boopbeeps, Skippetyboops, Boobah, Kitty Meow meow, Bubbadubs, & more.
He knows tricks (sit, high five, lay down), goes on walkies, patrols the house like a guard cat, and even brings his teddy bear to dinner or the door when he misses me. He’s protective, goofy, full of personality — and not even 4 years old.
How He Got Sick:
A prescribed back pain cream I used — containing flurbiprofen, a compound the FDA has warned is lethal to cats even in trace amounts — caused Olaf to develop acute kidney injury. (2 is normal. He was at 13.3.)
THIS PRODUCT IS KILLING FUR BABIES AND IT'S STILL AVAILABLE WITH NO WARNINGS.

He went from a healthy, vibrant cat to clinging to life in the ER. Hospital, vet, and medication bills have reached over 16k in just 9 days. He's recovering, but now we’re racing against time & finances. He needs his best shot at recovery, quickly.

Why You Should Care:
This happened because there was no warning on the label, nor given by the physician, and even the ER had to call ASPCA poison control to understand what was happening. I was never told the risk. That cream is still being prescribed — and even a tiny trace is lethal to cats. All he had to do was lie down where I did while wearing it.
My friends joke about how I'm overly careful with him. If it happened to me, it can happen to anyone.
Olaf's story can spread awareness and help prevent this from happening to more fur babies. See pics & links re Flurbiprophen & Rx pain creams below:
Where We Are Now:
Olaf:
- Is still fighting and has been referred to an internal specialist
- Temporarily needs continued IV fluids & monitoring to make it. May need subcutaneous fluids and/or other meds at home after that for 2-3 weeks while his kidneys stabilize
- Has good insurance, but I must pay up front before reimbursement (80%)
- Has been improving, but his kidneys are not stable enough to stop care due to contracting a significant UTI, JUST as he was getting to where he needed to be.
We're close, but I’ve exhausted every credit, loan, and emergency fund I have. He just needs more time to fight, & we need your help to get him there.
What We Need:
$5,000 in the next ASAP to continue his life-saving treatment
Final goal: $10,000 for detrimental ongoing care over the next 3 wks
Proof of insurance coverage & hospital invoices available

Final Notes:
His fur is getting softer again. He’s grooming. He’s drinking and eating. Still curious, playful & wrapping himself around my ankle because it's been forever since we just got to play. Still cracking everyone up and melting every heart he meets. He’s still fighting.

Locked up, they won't let meow-t

Just a sleepy boy

Where there is Olaf, there is Beary

Coping mechanisms aside, this has been a nightmare. Please don't let the bond be broken. Help me bring him home safe and sound.
Please also feel free to refer us to any associations that can help.
Thank you, from the bottom of my heart.
