2023 Commonwealth Lifesaving Championships

Hi, we are four athletes from the UK looking for some financial help to attend the 2023 Commonwealth Lifesaving Championships in Windsor, Canada in September 2023. We have been recently selected as part of the RLSS Commonwealth Lifesaving Championships England squad to compete in this prestigious competition and need help raising some funds to attend the competition. Lifesaving sport is a quickly growing and very unknown and unfortunately under-funded sport so this fund will go a long way in helping us fund this trip and an incredible opportunity to compete in our sport on an international level. Amongst us, we were also honoured as two of us were selected as Captain and Vice-Captain of the men's Team England Squad. We would be hugely grateful for any donations as this will help us hugely in being able to compete for our country.

Lifesaving sport has offered us so much over the years and the chance to represent our country, and our home club, on an international level means a great deal to all of us. We were honoured to be selected by the RLSS to compete and hope to contend with the commonwealths best Lifesavers at the competition in September.

The raised funds will go towards helping us pay for the kit, travel and accommodation for the competition which will be greatly appreciated as the trip is looking to be very expensive. We hope to then also use our invaluable experience gained from the competition to help our home club, Beacon Swimming and Lifesaving Club improve their training and approach to an increasing amount of high-performance athletes as well as use our platform to demonstrate our dedication and the advantages of competing in a sport at such a high level.
