Hi everyone, my name is Nathan and I own a mobile car detailing business here in Raleigh, NC.
I named my business after my sweet rescue dog. She comes with me to jobs and is the sweetest dog. She’s a big part of why I love what I do.
Yesterday evening, I went out for what I believed was a normal last-minute detailing job for two vehicles. It turns out these were two vehicles for a famous rapper to be used in a music video. After I finished the work, the group refused to pay and the situation turned violent.
I was hit in the head and face with a gun and beaten while I was on the ground. They also threatened to kill me and Koa and stole all of my detailing equipment, everything I rely on to run my business.
I was able to get away and make it to safety, and I spent the night in the hospital being treated for a concussion and facial injuries. I’m incredibly grateful to be alive, but I’m in a lot of pain and honestly still very shaken up and trying to process everything.
This business is my livelihood. I’ve worked hard to build my business from the ground up, and losing all of my equipment has put me in a really difficult position.
I’m asking for help to:
- Replace stolen detailing equipment
- Cover medical expenses
- Cover lost wages while I’m out of work
If you’re able to donate or even just share this, it would mean more than I can put into words. The support I’ve already received from this community has been overwhelming, and I’m truly grateful.
I’ll be sharing updates on my recovery and rebuilding process as I work to get back to serving the community.
Thank you for taking the time to read this and for keeping me in your thoughts and prayers.
— Nathan and Koa
