My name is Satya. I’m the sole bread winner of my young family. I try hard everyday to become and stay a hero for my 3 years old son. But a coward punch has left me and my family shattered.

On December 13, 2025 around 3:25am, a coward hooligan punched me in my face and left me on the road when a Good Samaritan approached the scene. This left me with a broken jaw, swollen bloody face, loss of job and financially broken.

Incident - I work as a delivery driver. When I was doing deliveries late that night, a bunch of hooligans came in front of my truck with their scooters at the Queens road (Albert park) and started riding at 25 km/h. I tried avoiding them for a good 10 minutes before eventually asking them to get out of the way. This led to aggressive language from their end and asked me to get out of the truck. My wrong judgement of the situation led me to do what they asked. And when I got off they started threatening and intimidating me. Scared, I dialled 000, but even before I could connect the call, one of the hooligans punched me right in the face and knocked me on the floor.

Even after reporting well in detail, police hasn’t done anything meaningful. Police says that they can’t ask the nearby businesses for cctv footage and my employer says that he is unable to download footage from the security camera in the truck. Given my condition, I’m unable to work and the employer has not allowed me to claim work cover.

I’m on a visa and can not claim any benefits. Hence, I request the community to please help me.
