Hi, my name is Andrea, i'm 59 years old and i desperatly need your help.

EVEN THE SMALLEST OF DONATION WILL HELP!
Life can change in the blink of an eye.. it can happen to ANYONE at ANYTIME. Your support will help me to live my life as fully as possible despite the challeges I face.

Before the attack, I was a business woman in the Health and Beauty industry. I was independant, outgoing, fun, loving new mum who enjoyed creating a happy and wholesome life for myself and my little girl.. I never imagined a single event could take everyting away.

What happened?
Life can change in the blink of an eye, and mine did when i was shopping with my 1 year old daughter. I was the victim of a voilent attack by two masked armed robbers and suffered severe crush injuries from a heavy duty metal security door being slammed and held onto my body. As a result, i have been diagnosed with multiple life-changing conditions, one being Complex Regional Pain Syndrome (CRPS) also known as 'THE SUICIDE DISEASE' because of how devistating it is. It is more painful than childbirth, amputation and cancer (when referring to the McGill Pain Scale). This is something I suffer with DAILY. To put this into context… light touch or even airflow can cause excruciating pain to my body.

How it has affected me in the way of needing to raise funds..
My independence has been completely stripped since I was attacked. I am housebound and largely bedbound. My small home is not accessible- i live in one room of the house (formally the living room) without access to a bathroom, relying on a make-shift commode/toilet at the end of my bed. I havent been able to shower/bathe in 17 years, and i require daily colonic irrigations due to my condition. This makes daily hygiene, mobility, and safety incredibly difficult, painful and undignified.

Further to having an accessible home, I desperately long for funds to get specialist treatment for rehabilitation for a chance to live with little pain. As CRPS is so rare and knowledge on the syndrome is very little- I would have to travel for the treatment and it is not something that is funded by the NHS.

How you can help..

RAISING AWARENES! - CRPS is a rare condition, even some medical professionals are unaware of the conditon. I have attached an informative documentary on CRPS- this is just ONE of the many chronic conditions I live with.

THANK YOU, from the bottom of our hearts for reading my story and for your kindness and support.

Andrea
