Almost six years ago I was humbled enough by my alcoholism and drug addiction to ask for help from my family to send me to a treatment facility. This act of humanity saved my life, I needed to be completely removed from the world of drugs and alcohol to begin my healing process, and I am still sober now. Today my little brother is facing the same challenge, but without the financial support that my family had to offer (we are half siblings, and share a mother who does not have the same access to funds for rehabilitation that my father did). My little brothers name is Calen MacCracken. He is incredibly intelligent, creative, funny, and talented, and he is also completely at the mercy of his addiction. His insurance does not cover drug treatment, and I have found him the most affordable place that I could. It wrenches my heart to see my little brother in such a place of suffering, and I understand it on an extremely personal level because I have been through it, and he is my blood. Any amount that you are willing to donate is helping him to save his life. Thank you.
