Hi there.

My name is Rachel Marley. A lot of you know me as Rae. If this is your first introduction to me, then hello and thank you for your time today.

As many of you know, I am a stubborn woman. I stubborned my way out of a wheelchair when I was 21. I stubborned my way through 2 career changes and 3 moves to different states. As of late 2022, I stubborned my way out of a 10 year long, extremely neglectful and damaging marriage.

But I've run into something I can't stubborn my way out of. As some of you know, my car has been...problematic this year. Within the last 12 months it has failed 3 times, to the tune of about $2400 in repairs. And last Thursday it started actively leaking gasoline. The repair alone was almost $500 dollars and that was a patch that I was told could only be temporary and that when it failed, the mechanic could not be held liable for what happened to me. The patch lasted two days of driving before things started going wrong again.

I am in a difficult spot. Any money I had to spare had already been sank into the costs of moving in January, and I just... have nothing left. So I'm doing the thing that is hardest for me as a stubborn woman. I'm asking for help.

I need help getting a car I can be confident won't die immediately. For that, I'm asking for $3000

Any funds raised beyond this will go towards paying for the new car or any additional rental costs (depending on how long it will take me to get a new car, though I'm already looking.)
