Dear Friends, Family, and Kind Strangers,
I'm reaching out to to help the wonderful father of my child, and dear friend who recently suffered a stroke and is now embarking on the challenging road to recovery. The morning of Saturday, March 23rd, Atom suffered from a very serious stroke, resulting in emergency brain surgery, and leaving him with complete paralysis of his left arm and leg. The brain surgery was required to remove blood clots and manage hemorrhaging. He’s still currently in the ICU fighting pain from this stroke, subsequent pulmonary embolism and struggling to grasp this reality. Next steps are months of rehab.
Atom is an amazing father (photo selected by our son), brother to 3, and friend to many; who has always been an amazing human. Now, it's our turn to rally around him and offer our support. The journey to recovery from a stroke is not easy. It requires immense strength, fight, courage, and resources. As Atom focuses on regaining his health and independence, the financial burden of bills, rehabilitation expenses, and daily living costs weighs heavily on him and those all of that care about him.
