Erica and her families prayers were answered when she got the call for transplant on Monday 1/18/16. After a 12 hour surgery she had a beating heart with no assist device. Although the transplant has occurred, a lot of financial stress is kicking in for the family thanks to only having one working vehicle, one income, and lots of medications for anti rejection. I have seen all the tons of people that love the Shea's and if even half those people threew a few bucks into the account we could hopefully fix their car and get Ericas meds straightened out without too much stress for them. Always remember, getting a transplant is exchanging another problem for a new problem. She will no longer need her LVAD but she will need countless anti rejection meds daily and weekly testing for the next year, let's help take some of the strain from Ericas newly acquired heart!
Have a heart, share your parts!! Thankful for everybody who loves Erica and for all the selfless gift her donor left her; life.
