Finding out Atlas had cancer
 

Atlas Williams is my brave and life loving nephew. Shortly after his second birthday in July, our family learned that he has B-cell Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia. Those early days were shocking and difficult but now our family has focused their efforts and are in the thick of Atlas’s treatment. Atlas is strong and charging forward on his journey to health. His prognosis for recovery is great and we feel blessed at every turn.


What is Next

Atlas is estimated to be in treatment until December 2022, receiving a protocol of chemo and oral medications. This will be a marathon and while Atlas is ready for battle, the family faces mounting costs. With a new year, comes new deductibles, the unexpected charges of changing insurance policies, uncovered medical expenses, and the ongoing overhead of additional child care. Meanwhile Beth has started intermittent family leave from work, to be there for Atlas, which results in decreased income.  


How You Can Help

This Go Fund me is to support Atlas and his family for these specific costs. 

The words, prayers, and funds already provided have fed Atlas's family with the physical and spiritual fortitude to endure. These additional funds will will continue to ensure those essential needs are met during Atlas's fight to beat cancer. If for any reason these funds are not used for costs cited above, those monies will be donated to organizations that are helping the families of those impacted by childhood cancer or refunded. I'll work with Beth and continue to update this page with Atlas's progress
