Atlas aid after the earthquake

My name is Adil El Filali. I'm the president of Marrakech Green Wheels Association. We are located in Marrakech, Morocco; We are trying to raise funds in order to buy materials to build tents and shelters to the families who have lost their homes due to the Marrakech region earthquake of 7.1 magnitude, which turned all rural areas around the city to ruins, hundreds of deaths and families with no homes. The team has already started working with the help of local funds but we have also launched this initiative for our supporters who are outside Morocco.

We are urging anyone who is able to support and provide help providing shelter for those who lost their homes.

Thanks to Abdelbasate Elmoudi who has helped us set up this fundraiser. He is a brother to one of our team members and he kindly offered to help as he is based in the UK.

The help is addressed to all those who need it - several families have already benefited as you will see from the photos but we prefer not to mention their names for privacy purposes. These affected families have always opened their homes to us as we are a cycling social enterprise. We visit these families very often with guests. These affected people have always offered us food and water. Our relationship to them is quite strong. They have always been giving and now it is time that we give them back and help them as much as we can
