Atlantic Recovery

On Sunday 15th December I was leaving the Bay of Biscay sailing Solo in my little boat having travelled alone from the UK with the intention of making an Atlantic crossing when disaster struck.
A freak wave as big as a football stadium struck my little boat, capsizing it and destroying it and everything inside it - everything I had was destroyed but I was lucky to be alive. The battle for survival had only just begone as I was being pushed by the wind and current towards a section of jagged rocks. I had survived however the boat was in tatters and uncontrollable.
Having survived the capsize I was being driven into the Rocks by the pounding waves. I realised that I could not just sit back on my stricken boat as I was helpless. As I drifted closer and closer to the rocks I realised I had to do something. I launchd the life raft and boarded it, at least I had a hope of trying to steer and paddle it pass the danger.
An hour and a half later after paddling frantically I managed to clear all the rocks, and after two hours in the life raft I was finally picked up by the Spanish Search and Rescue Helicopter and airlifted to safety.
I returned home lucky to be alive. As I got home I reflected on my journey the the incredible life changing experience.
Before setting of to cross Biscay I wrote in large Letters on my Chart Plotter which read: " Show Up, Be Fearless, Keep on moving, One Step at a Time". I reflected on when I wrote that - to give me focus trench and direction when the waters got troubled.
I have no boat but I am determined to show up overcome the odds to finish what I started, A solo sailing trip across the Atlantic by a very novice sailor - Do or Die.
If you want to follow this journey so I can vlog and keep up with the excitement please contribute. With what ever funds I raise I will buy a small little basic boat and aim to continue the journey where I left of hopefully within days.
I will Buy a tiny sail boat and sail the Atlantic within weeks and bring updates via UTUBE, make the story happen follow the progress, 10k is all that's needed to get a little boat and get the adventure going again.
