In collaboration with Ratio Product Lab, a few fellow Georgia residents have decided to do our part and join the fight against the COVID19 pandemic. Using 3D printers, we are making face shields to donate to local hospitals in critical need of personal protection equipment (PPE). Help us continue this effort by donating to the cause!
Worldwide, N95 respirators are in critically low supply. Using a face shield can extend the life of these respirators, helping nurses and doctors avoid infection while they take care of the ever-increasing number of COVID19 patients in our hospitals. The face shield design by industrial designer Jim Ferguson is both ergonomic and effective, providing safety to health care professionals while they spend long hours providing care to all of us.
With these health care professionals’ safety in mind, we aim to do our part in this collective effort by DONATING these face shields to the most critically in-need hospitals. We are donating the face shields locally to reduce the time it takes to get them in the hands of the people who need them most. This also allows us to keep production and distribution within driving distance, reducing shipping time and cost.
With the goal of $5000, we would be able to print, assemble, sanitize and distribute 500 face shields to the hospitals that might need them the most at the time of completion.
Join our effort: We are currently trying to build a network of 3D printers committed to doing their part to fight this disease. Help us print from where you are. The design specs can be found at https://www.prusaprinters.org/prints/27203-ratio-face-shield-closed-top
