Atlanta Kings Independent Basketball Program

Greetings,

We are the Atlanta Kings Community and we’re raising funds to complete our national travel schedule for the 2022 youth basketball season.

The Atlanta Kings started as a rec team that played out of the M.L. King Rec Center in Atlanta as the “ML King Eagles”. In March of 2020, the pandemic entered the United States and shut all government activities down, including parks and rec. The players felt like it was over for the year however for Coach Jett, it was an opportunity to take his players to a level they never thought they’ll be competing on. The coaches and parents pooled together to purchase uniforms and before you knew it, the Atlanta Kings were born. We played our first game in December of 2020 as a non recreation team and now as of April of 2022 (1 year & 4 months later), we are remarkably a nationally ranked two team program.

With that being said, in order for us to keep the ball rolling for these outstanding youth basketball players, we need your help. As we grow toward our goal of being #1 in the Country, we have some expenses along the way. Our biggest expense is our tournament in Miami, Fl. which is the reason we are raising these funds. Some of our major expenses are:

• Roundtrip Tickets from Atlanta to Miami for 24 Players and Coaches

• Lodging for 24 Players and Coaches for 5 days

• Food for 24 players and Coaches for 5 Days
