Hi friends! I'm getting top surgery at the end of October and just got the out-of-pocket estimate from my surgeon's office. Even though he's in-network, I'll have to pay around $8,388 since my insurance has a crazy high deductible ($5,400) and co-insurance rate (30% AKA $2,988). I was on a better insurance plan when I scheduled this surgery back in January, but I lost that insurance when I was laid off from the LA Times.
