My name is Sy and many of you know me from The Vancouver Golf Club, where I’ve spent the last three years growing and becoming a part of the VGC community. Before that, I competed on the Simon Fraser University Golf Team, and after graduating, I played a year of professional golf in Thailand where I attained my Thailand PGA card and conditional All Thailand Golf Tour status. While back on the west coast and working at the club, I have spent my time competing in various professional events that have helped me further refine my golf game and prepare for the next step.
My achievements include:
- 2x GNAC All Conference Honours (NCAA DII)
- 1st Place @ The 2018 US Amateur Qualifier (-8)
- Competed in The 2018 US Amateur @ Pebble Beach
- Runner up @ The 2021 Golden Ears Open (-6)
- Runner up @ Thailand PGA Q-School 2022 (-8)
- 2022 Thailand PGA Tour status
- 2022 All Thailand Golf Tour conditional status
- T3 @ The 2024 GreenTee Open (-2)
- Champion @ The 2025 Birchbank Men’s Open
- Highest Official World Golf Ranking: 1685th
This fall, I have the opportunity to earn full status on a major circuit and will be competing in the All Thailand Tour Q-School. My long term goal is to establish a full time career on the Asian Tour and as a Thai citizen, it is fitting that I build a foundation in Thailand where I can earn valuable world ranking points against strong competition.
Preparing for and competing on a professional tour requires significant financial resources. I am looking for help in raising $10,000 to cover entry fees, travel and lodging costs which I am fully responsible for providing on my own.
All contributions will go directly towards tournament and preparation costs so that I am able to perform at my best.
I am grateful to represent the Vancouver Golf Club as I continue to advance my career in professional golf. Your support is greatly appreciated.
Thank you,
Sy Lovan
