Hi, I’m Atiya and I’m currently a junior at Trumbull High School. I’m proud to share that I’ve been accepted from a competitive pool of applicants to the CIEE Global Navigators Study Abroad program for a month (July 5th–August 1st) in Seoul, South Korea!
I am a big advocate for global studies and the importance of cultural exchange and embracing diversity. I love broadening my horizons and enjoy being able to communicate with different people. This program aligns perfectly with my academic goals, and I am excited to be immersed in CIEE’s language and culture program for Korea. I hope to not only immerse myself in a new culture, but this experience will help me prepare for the independence of college and the real world, while also earning me college credits.
I’m proud to say that I have been awarded a partial scholarship, but I would greatly appreciate any donations to ease the cost of the rest of the tuition and airfare, which isn’t included in the program.
The funds raised will cover my program tuition, which includes immersive language classes where I will practice what I learn each day with my host family and people in the community. It will also help pay for cultural excursions to places like Gyeongbokgung, Gwangjang Market, and Hanok Village, as well as housing with a host family and meals. This opportunity means so much to me, and I am eager to learn, grow, and represent my community abroad.
Your support would mean the world to me as I take this big step toward my dreams. Thank you for believing in me!
