A Time To Build

Bradley County is full of pet lovers, animal advocates, and those who have been touched by a dog or cat in their lifetime.
These pets come into our lives as animals, but they soon become parts of our families. We provide them food, shelter, and love, and they give us companionship, joy, and more adventures than we know how to handle.
This Bradley County community provides a great life for our pets, and we know that there are so many animals in our county that deserve a chance at their very own forever family. That’s why the SPCA of Bradley County and The Community Foundation of Cleveland and Bradley County have partnered together on the “A Time to Build” campaign.
The local SPCA and their team do an incredible job with the limited resources they have, and it’s time our community comes together to support them, the animals they serve and animal adoption opportunities.
The current facility is far past its capacity, with size restrictions limiting the amount of adoptions the SPCA can facilitate. At the present time, over 60 animals are in foster care due to a lack of space and kennels available. In addition, the current facility was not designed for animal care, meaning that the facility as it stands lacks both sanitary and procedural necessities to ensure the well-being of our community’s animals.
Building a new, modern facility will allow an expansion in services for Bradley County’s animals, with the proposed facility increasing in size to include more dog and cat kennels, exam and surgery rooms, and an indoor dog run and cat colony.
The SPCA Endowment Fund will also be established through the capital campaign and managed by the Community Foundation. This endowment is a permanent fund in which contributions may not be spent, but rather are invested to generate a stream of income for the organization. It will help the SPCA better meet operational costs and provide long-term stability for the future of the organization.
With the launch of A Time To Build, the SPCA of Bradley County and the Community Foundation of Cleveland and Bradley County are turning to the community for help taking this facility from a plan into a reality.
It’s time to give more animals the same chance that our own pets have. It’s time to build - are you ready to contribute to the future of our community? Give now and support the SPCA as they care for the animals of Bradley County.
