At-Home Nursing and End of Life Care
Donation protected
Hello friends and supporters of Citrin and Mélisse restaurants.
We are raising money for our teammate and friend, Vayu O'Donnell, and his family to help cover the costs of at-home nursing and other end-of-life care for his father as he transitions on.
Vayu is an integral part of the team, as many of you know, and we hope that you might be able to help give his father the medical care he needs and ease the burden of these costs that his family is accumulating.
From Vayu-
"My father grew up in McClain, Virginia and then San Diego, CA…then went to Columbia University in NYC. Son of Irish immigrants and Native American (Osage). He had 4 sons, and one daughter. He worked as a political consultant, then trained himself to do computer programming and worked to secure digital rights management post Napster and file sharing craze.
Later in life, he worked hard to give a platform to up-and-coming musicians, mostly from Baja California. He, himself, was a musician and guitar player.
He’s been battling cancer for the past three years, in and out of the hospital every few months, multiple surgeries, and he’s just exhausted. He’s decided that he doesn’t want to return to the hospital. Doctors believe he’s got a few months, but who knows. He’s in a place where he’s in need of good home care, as my brothers have been taking care of him at home for the past year and are beyond depleted.
I’d love to be able to help get him some in-home nursing help for the remainder of his time and possibly use anything leftover for any arrangements to be made when he departs."
We thank all of you for your continued support and consideration of this.
