Athilo’s Funeral Expenses and Medical Bills

Donation protected
Athilo Jeffrey Bishop was born on Sunday June 12th ( 4:25am), 2022.
He was born prematurely due to pregnancy complications that were sudden, and very unexpected. Athilo was fighter before birth, little did we all know he was fighting in the womb before fighting his most difficult battles after.

Only measuring 24 weeks, and 1 day, Athilo came into this world only weighing 420 grams, which is only 1lb .06oz, and he was 10.6 inches long.

Athilo had every odd against him. For his parents, all of this has been so devastating, and they still managed to try to work as much as they could, and advocate for their son day in and day out. Even through financial struggles, they’ve managed to constantly be there everyday for their son, and make sure he felt what home was, even if it meant bringing his nursery to him.

He was also blessed to have the entire NICU team of Albany Medical Center, who made sure nothing ever went unanswered. Most importantly, they made him feel so loved.

Athilo had many complications through his 7 month journey, which left him scars from 5 surgeries. Most grown adults do not have even close to that many surgeries in their lifetime. He gave them many scares through his journey, but he never failed to bounce back. His biggest battles that never seemed to give him a break, were his chronic lung disease and hypertension. All from being born prematurely. After so many medications and surgeries, it all become too much on his body. Even though there were times he might of been tired, he never failed to smile at his nurses and his parents.

His smile was a bright light in a dark room. With both of his parents and the NICU team fighting for Athilo’s life, battling along side with him, Aliyah, Tyler and their families are so incredibly grateful to have had 7 months with him.

Athilo impacted a lot of people in the short time we were able to be blessed with his presence. He has shown us nothing but love, in a room full of chaos. His fight has shown us to never give up, even though it can be difficult, but do it with a smile. They always say the worst things happen to best people. These are amazing, and kindhearted people. They would literally give the clothes off their back if you ever needed it. I can’t even begin to find the words to explain the pain that Athilo’s parents, and his family feel. This has truly been the biggest loss, and I will do anything to be there for my bestfriend.

She is my bestfriend, my sister, and most importantly; My family.❤️

We’ve been through so much together throughout the 12 years of being in eachother’s lives, and I never expected to have to type this.

Anything donation will help. We would like to take off the burden of medical bills, funeral expenses, etc, so they have the time to grieve. Unfortunately, through Athilo’s battle, his parents have had to continue working, and they deserve the time to be able to grieve without the stress of having to constantly work, while making arrangements for their son.

Life is truly a blessing, we truly appreciate all of you who are supporting Aliyah, and Tyler during this time. Thank you to all in advance, anything helps.❤️
