Cada año se celebra en Alemania, el festival Wacken Open Air es el festival más grande exclusivamente de música Rock y Metal en el mundo. Se realiza anualmente, en la pequeña ciudad de Wacken en Schleswig-Holstein, al norte de Alemania recibiendo 75 000 visitantes cada año.

Dentro del festival se lleva a cabo un concurso llamado “Metal Battle”, en el cual participan 30 bandas, las cuales
fueron previamente seleccionadas, en sus distintos países y/o regiones mediante concurso.

Este año Athica, banda de metal panameña, que ha representado a nuestro país por 16 años consecutivos en
festivales y conciertos nacionales e internacionales, se consagró como la banda que representará a la región
Centroamericana, convirtiéndose así en la primera banda de música panameña en participar de este gran festival.

Esto nos permitirá, no sólo dar a conocer nuestra música; sino también colocar el nombre de Panamá y
Centroamérica muy en alto, en este majestuoso escenario.

Debido al poco tiempo que nos queda para recolectar el dinero necesario, solicitamos su apoyo para lograr
este proyecto y así poder cubrir parte de todos los gastos que genera el traslado hacia Alemania; vuelos,
hospedaje, transportes, equipos, etc.

Every year Germany hosts the Wacken Open Air festival. Its the worlds biggest Rock and Metal fest and is held
in the small town of Wacken jn Schleswig-Holstein, North Germany and it hosts 75,000 fans every year.

As part of the festival there is a band competition called the Metal Battle, where 30 bands who had previously
won the battle in their own countries or regions play at the festival.

This year Athica, Panamanian metal band that has represented our country for 16 consecutive years at
national and international shows and festivals, won the competition this year and will represent Central America, becoming the first Panamanian band to play at this massive festival.

This will not only allow us to present our music but to also leave Panama's name and Central America
in high regards on this majestful stage.

Due to the short amount of time we have to collect the necessary funds, we are asking for your support to be able to make this project happen and to cover some of the expenses that come along with getting to Germany, fights,
hotels, transportation, gear, etc.
