Atherstone Pony Club HOYS 2018

In the Equestrian world, you may have seen and attended the Horse of the Year Show (Hoys) at the NEC and appreciate the performances of all the equine disciplines. One of the disciplines often looked forward to by the crowd, and Sky Sports, is the Prince Phillip Cup Mounted Games which involves members of the Pony Club aged 15 and under from around the UK. Six teams from more then 750 that entered the competitions earlier this year will finally arrive at Hoys inOctober after training hard for 9 months and probably several years of working to this end goal. For all the children involved it is the pinnacle of their career in mounted games and therefore a really exciting and challenging time of their life.

Locally the Atherstone Hunt Pony Club, have had a tradition of being proficient at mounted games, with dedicated parents and trainers producing good teams over recent years and winning the Prince Phillip Cup last in 2007.

Once again with a totally new team, the Atherstone Hunt Pony Club has managed to secure a place at Hoys in October later this year, and will go with every intention of bringing back the cup again !

However, Hoys and the NEC don’t make the privilege of entertaining the crowds a free event. Unfortunately, there is a substantial cost attatched to attending which for a team of six is difficult as all the rider, pony and stable equipment needs to be covered.

To to help us achieve our fund raising target and ensure we can supply all the necessary provisions for a week at Hoys from food to shavings, we would like to ask you to consider making a donation either monetarily or in kind.

The Atherstone Team have achieved a remarkable result this year and are all very excited and training hard for This once in a lifetime experience. Your support would be very much appreciated and will definitely make a difference no matter how small or large.

Thankyou for taking the time to read this and I hope we can count on your support!
