Athena's Army: A Brave Warrior in Her Fight Against Cancer
Spende geschützt
Dear Friends,
I come to you today with a call to support a courageous young girl named Athena and her devoted parents, Will and Alecia, as they confront the challenge of childhood cancer.
At just nine years old, Athena has been diagnosed with brain cancer- a Germinoma, or germ-cell cancer tumor. Her parents, Will and Alecia, who are both single parents and co-parent Athena along with her brother, Orion, are facing a long journey ahead. From medical expenses to the costs associated with prolonged hospital stays and chemotherapy over the next four months, the financial strain on the family is profound.
Moreover, with both parents needing to be by Athena's side, the loss of income due to missed work only compounds their financial worries. Each parent has a unique job situation, but both are dedicated to Athena's full time care.
Tough decisions also have had to be made regarding Athena's education. The strain of medical appointments and treatments has made it necessary to withdraw her from school temporarily. She will be sick and tired from chemo, and Athena's parents have decided to keep her home as she will have a weakened immune system. Despite this setback, Will and Alecia are determined to ensure that Athena's education does not suffer, enlisting tutors to support her academic journey.
While the family takes on this new chapter with Athena, Orion not feeling isolated is also important, so there will be expenses associated with him going to camp and having some fun as well.
Let's rally for Athena and her family. Your generous donations will provide crucial support as they navigate this journey. Together, let's stand beside them in their fight against cancer and remind them that they are not alone.
Thank you for your compassion, generosity, and unwavering support during this difficult time.
With heartfelt gratitude,
