On August 4th 2019 , my brother Levi and his wife, Sara, found out that they expecting baby #2! However, On September 18th, the baby was diagnosed with Acrania , then later with Anencephaly, a rare neural tube defect that causes the baby's skull to not fully develop, leaving the brain exposed making the baby's life incompatible outside of the womb.
Levi and Sara bravely decided to carry the baby to term, knowing they will lose their child shortly after birth.
Athena Elizabeth will be delivered via C-Section on March 16, 2020.
We don't know how long we will have her with us, moments, maybe hours.
But we do know how loved she is and how difficult this will be for Levi, Sara, Elias and our entire family.
We are asking for prayers and monetary donations to help ease the financial burden of Doctor visits, Delivery, Hospital stay, missed work and unfortunately, the memorial service of our sweet Athena.
